We respect each site visitor’s right to personal privacy. To that end, we collect and use information throughout our website only as disclosed in this Privacy Policy. This statement applies solely to information we collect, whether through our website, direct mailings, or through other methods.

For each visitor to our website, our web server automatically recognizes certain information regarding the domain of your Internet Service Provider. Specific Areas of Information Sharing

Donations

We will ask for standard credit card information when you make a financial donation. We will share that information with one of our payment services (Stripe or PayPal) based on whether you select to pay via credit card or through PayPal. Stripe’s privacy policy may be found here. Beginning in 2024, the Foundation will begin sharing information on donations, including the identity of the donor, their contract information, and the amount of the donation, with a third-party marketing company to provide statistics and analysis about our donors and to provide us with strategies for marketing campaigns which may be considered targeted advertising. Where required by law, we will first obtain your consent before engaging in these marketing activities.

Services

If you provide information to us in connection with seeking our services, we may contact you regarding those services. In connection with certain types of applications, you may be required to fill out forms authorizing us to receive information related to your health care and medical information and we may receive information from you or providers about your health care and treatment. We may also require documentation regarding your health status, invoices/bills/receipts for which you are requesting financial assistance, and information related to verifying your income. We may also request limited demographic information related to your gender, race and/or ethnicity. We may retain records related to your request for and eligibility to receive those services.

Fundraising Campaigns

If you use our website for a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, we will publish information on our website that you share with us that is related to that campaign. This may include information on your health and/or treatment. In the campaign, we will only share the information that you consent to share with us for our publication.

To the extent you elect to share information on a fundraising campaign via Meta (Facebook), Meta (Instagram), X (Twitter), LinkedIn, or YouTube your privacy will be governed by that service’s privacy policy. Volunteering

If you sign up through our website to volunteer, we will retain a record of your willingness to volunteer and we may contact you to seek your participation at upcoming events.

If you are seeking employment, we will retain a record of your outreach and we may contact you to seek additional information in connection with your application, such as information related to your employment history and work experience.

Membership

If you sign up for a membership through our website, from time-to-time we will send you a newsletter, information on our latest offerings, information on events and activities, and other communications related to the Foundation. The Foundation takes reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access. Our payment vendors protect the security of credit card transactions through encryption and other appropriate security measures.

However, no internet transmission is ever completely secure or error free and we cannot guarantee that the information, during transmission or while stored on our systems, will be absolutely safe from unauthorized access. In particular, communications sent through the contact form on this website may not be secure so please do not send sensitive information through the contact form to us. Note to Parents Regarding Our Privacy Policy

The Foundation’s website and online resources are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under 13-years old. Our website will automatically collect data regarding users’ devices, but this data is not linked to an individual.
